God's Word Heard Around The World
Matthew
28:19-20 - Therefore go and
make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything
I have commanded you. And surely I
am with you always, to the very end
of the age.

Hacienda of Hope
San José Chico, Ecuador
The Hacienda Of Hope is a long-term project devoted to helping the children of South America. This project is located in San José Chico, Ecuador. Currently there are two facets: the Hacienda Of Hope Orphanage and the Hacienda Of Hope Bilingual School. The Hacienda of Hope Children's Home seeks children whose parents have died or children that have been abandoned. We give these children new parents, new brothers and sisters, a new home, a top-notch education and most importantly, an environment where they can learn about God. The Hacienda of Hope Bilingual School is a christian-based learning center where our orphaned children can be educated in both the Spanish and English languages. The idea is for them to be ahead of their peers in Ecuador so that they will have doors of opportunity open to them by being bilingual. Every morning we have chapel with singing, scripture reading, a bible lesson and school announcements. Then, we break and the students proceed to their classes.

Short Term Mission Trips
Members of the Decatur church participate in short term mission efforts during Spring Break and summer to share the Good News of Jesus. Decatur is thrilled to be able to partner in many of these efforts to places like Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Brazil and Ft. Worth.
In 2006,
30 members of the Decatur
church raised funds and
traveled to Aracaju to
spend a week campaigning,
leading a VBS and studying
and fellowshipping with
local churches at an annual
retreat. We hope to add
trips to continue traveling
to Brazil every other year
and add trips to other
mission fields also.
Local Outreach Missions
The Decatur church started a ministry in 2007 to reach out to our community by teaching English to non-English speaking people in the area. This outreach is led by Kyle Reeves and Eric Vincent.
Prison Ministry
Willie Holt coordinates a prison ministry program to teach the life changing message of Jesus to people in the correction system in Bridgeport, TX.
